Hi, I was thinking of making a new issue / discussion, but it's relevant to component libraries and whatnot, so I thought I'd comment here. I was/am frustrated with not having a proper UI component library in the Django ecosystem, so I ported Vuetify to AlpineJS, so it could be used with Django + django-components + AlpineJS stack. The only thing that remains on that front is to rewrite the JSX to django templates and define Python API for the components, and I'm postponing that till django-components has more mature API. I'm a big proponent of collaboration, people seem to like using HTML tags for components, and @wrabit you seem to be very active! So I'd love if we could coordinate somehow? :) There's still a lot to be built for the Django frontend ecosystem:
Sorry for the wall of text, but wanted to share what's brewing. @wrabit I'd love to hear what are your thoughts - on the points above, on where you want to take django-cotton, and whether we could make it play well together. PS: Sorry if some bits are too technical, let me know if some things are not clear, as I may be too deep is some topics. |

Cotton already make it possible to build a lot of what’s shown in that video, which is great! The missing piece is a component library on top of Cotton to add the Tailwind and necessary JavaScript. Someone with good design skills would also be needed. The potential is huge. Thanks again for creating this!
