cannot add labels to errata #215
Comments
Per the GitHub documentation, only persons with at least write access are in position to change/add labels. There is an (unwritten…) assumption that the WG doing the maintenance has to review and accept (or not) an issue as an Erratum. Which makes sense; if this was done otherwise, malicious outsiders may pollute the automatic error report with rubbish. A WG may be confident enough in its own community to set up error templates. The other possibility is that the WG gives 'write' access to people they know and trust, regardless of whether that person is officially a member of the WG or not. I'm more in favor of the latter than the former (and would be happy to give @pfps a write access). |
That was my understanding, but I expected that |
I just added issue templates. @pfps can I ask you to create a dummy erratum using the new template, to see if that solves this issue? thanks |
https://w3c.github.io/rdf-canon/errata/ says:
So either these instructions should be changed or something should be done to allow people to follow them. |
... and one way that works is to add a template, as was just done. The instructions should probably be fixed up a bit, still. |
I was unable to add the required labels to my errata issue.
