Would it be possible to add option to switch to given tab? As I understand it would need to be possible using user_commands, and then keysym's in .Xresources, but as far as I can tell - it is not possible now.

It would be really good to have the option to move directly to tab #X with ctrl-X or something like this.

It is possible in mina86/urxvt-tabbedex. See description of comimt mina86/urxvt-tabbedex@b325375.
