Bug description

In some update recently the select field and button group styling got degraded, at least in Safari.

There's hardly any contrast left for unselected items.

How to reproduce

Where are you seeing the issue with the Select dropdown? I'm looking at the site dropdown on a nav and the border on the arrow part is showing: 🤔

Oh silly me. It's actually the language picker above a collection tree. Sorry about that, I presumed here.

Hmm, I do see this happening with any select field.

Which version of Safari are you on?

Both fieldtypes are displaying fine for me on Safari 18.1.1:

I updated to macOS 18.2 over the holidays and I can see similar issues with other UI elements 🫠
