kernel logs are too verbose making the console unusable

the kernel logs are too verbose making the console unusable.
I am getting this error massege filing the screen: Meson GXL Internal PHY mdio_mux-0.e40908ff:08: phy_poll_reset failed: -110

fixed by changing "kernel.printk = 7 4 1 7" to "kernel.printk = 1 4 1 3"
in /etc/sysctl.conf
