• I have searched for my issue and not found a work-in-progress/duplicate/resolved issue.
• I have not been informed if the issue is resolved in a preview version of the winget client.

Category of the issue

Installation issue.

Brief description of your issue

The installation defaults to using the fr (French) release of Betterbird for all languages. Seems to have been caused by #166630. The fr installer seems to be used for multiple locales. Passing --locale en-US the winget install call has no effect.

Steps to reproduce

Install latest version of Betterbird using the en-US locale.
winget install Betterbird.Betterbird --locale en-US

Actual behavior

The French translation of Betterbird is being installed.

Expected behavior

The English version should be installed.
