CPU Usage Very High

Recently Pylance has been running up my CPU usage when working in a git repo with lots of python files. The only way I've found to stop it is to disable pylance. Help, please!

Can you see if setting watcherExclude helps in your case, if something in the workspace is changing often? #1368 (comment)

I tried adding the following setting:

Can you provide us some logs as described in the troubleshooting guide?

Enable trace logging by adding "python.analysis.logLevel": "Trace" to your settings.json configuration file

I found that if I open VScode to a more specific working directory (as opposed to my home folder), I don't encounter this issue. Are you interested in what might be causing this issue still? Otherwise, feel free to close this

Ya. we would still want to take a look at the logs produced by "python.analysis.loglevel": "Trace" if it is not too much trouble.

So i recently changed my python version to 3.8.12 and I now don't appear to be experiencing this problem, even if I open it in my home directory. I will open a new issue if it happens again!

Please let me know if there is anything else you need. One thing to note is that I do not use conda, at all. I use base python with pyenv.
