IMO it's always a good idea to learn a bit more about working with HW. We'll bring a bunch of Arduino boards, and other HW thingies so that anyone interested can play and learn/teach :).

Desc: I have a bunch of particle.io products I can bring, and we can try to use them to something: opening fridge doors upon successful payment from #1?, keeping RBP alive and running, I'm open to any ideas here :).

Needed:

I'm thinking about getting a bunch of those: https://www.particle.io/mesh/ and trying to figure out what their mesh capabilities can be used for.

Shenzhen based http://seeedstudio.com also have cool hardware for RBP and Arduino that is worth a look.

@nolim1t mentioned https://gotenna.com which is also very cool for off-grid mesh networking but pricey.

I've ordered an Arduino Nano and ESP32 based board for more hardware fun! Should be there in time for the next meetups.
