Did Stack Exchange sites just become heavy ?

Hi,

I had no issues with Stack Exchange sites, until now : in the past few days/weeks, they started to be slow to load, so much that I visited the Awesome alternative frontends list to find this project (thanks for maintaining it).

Before that, I don't know how much time they used to take to load, but little enough that it wasn't bothering me, compared to the dozen of seconds it takes now.

Is it me, or did Stack Exchange sites just recently become heavy ?

I would have asked on the Meta Stack Exchange site or on the subreddit but I fear I would have been abusively downvoted or even moderated, here at least I can hope for fair answers.
