Homepage: The number of traces between the homepage and explore is different

Describe the problem

When visualizing the number of errors for a service, the Homepage shows a number that is different from the number of traces shown in the app.

The error chart seems the indicate a number of errors similar (or equal) to the one shown in the homepage, however the trace table has a largely different number of traces/spans (but the caption says traces).

FYI there's an issue with that Tempo instance right now since the team is testing a few things and metrics aren't trustworthy for the duration of the test. Notice that you're missing metrics since roughly 13:52.
