It's possible to select bytes using the mouse, so add the option to select using the keyboard (e.g. by holding Shift + Ctrl to create a selection between the selection start and the currently selected byte)

@Darxoon I know this is ancient, but could you remind me exactly the workflow you had in mind? You click one place to select one byte, and then while holding shift and ctrl, you click another place to make the selection span from there to wherever you click?

I'm not exactly sure but I think what I had in mind was something like this: you select the starting bytes with the arrow keys and then you hold shift or some other modifier key combination and use the arrow keys and it will select the bytes like it would select characters in a text field

To see what I mean, open a file in HxD for example and hold shift and use the arrow keys
