I want to sync Android implementation with the bookmarklet/mobile SGP, but I get different results when using 4096 character salt. The Android app offers generating a random salt and storing it in a QR code. However, when using this long salt in the bookmarklet my results are different. For short ones they are the same, thus I deduct there's an issue with the salt's length.

Is there a length limit for salt?
