Running tests/test_spherical_precompute.py::test_transform_inverse_healpix on a MacOS (arm64) runner with Python 3.9 or above generates a segmentation fault with output

There still appears to be some issues with tests on Python 3.9+ on MacOS when running on GitHub Actions. The tests got stuck on a test

tests/test_spherical_precompute.py::test_transform_inverse[8966433580120847635-price-mcewen-torch-True-mw--2-12]

and the workflow runs timed out before completing when running on Python 3.9+ on MacOS for runs triggered by #210. This is a different test from above which gave the segfault but does still appear to be torch related.
