  • I've read and understood the contribution guidelines.
  • I've searched for any related issues and avoided creating a duplicate issue.

Please give us a description of what happened

When trying to preview a post or page in the block editor (in tablet or mobile mode), I noticed the entire page content area collapse and show nothing. Switching back to desktop mode brings back the editor. I believe this is a newer update that broke that functionality.

To Reproduce

Step-by-step reproduction instructions

  1. Have the base Yoast SEO plugin enabled.
  2. Go to edit any post / create a new post.
  3. Toggle the preview switch to "Tablet" or "Mobile"

Expected results

  1. The content should show in an iframe in a tablet or mobile size.

Actual results

  1. The entire content area of the editor vanishes.

Screenshots, screen recording, code snippet

Here is a screen recording showing a local site that is using the base TT4 theme and no other plugins other than Yoast SEO. I show the issue happening on both an existing post page, as well as a brand new post page. Screen recording

Sorry to hear that happened to your site. The issue is caused by a regression in the WordPress 6.6 release and the fix will be included in an upcoming WordPress release.
