Category Selection Issue in WordPress 6.7.1

After updating to version 6.7.1, selecting one category while creating a new post automatically selects other categories too. This issue only happens on my sites running 6.7.1—all my other sites (over 20) with different versions work fine.

I just found out this issue is already known.
Hopefully, it will be fixed in version 6.7.2.
