Report content (issue description)

In Appearance > Themes > Add Themes and clicking the “Block Themes” button, there should be some explanation of what would cause NO THEMES AT ALL to be shown. Perhaps it is due to Block Themes not be available if we are currently using a theme that would not be amenable to a switch? (I’m using Go.)

Please include the below content in the above documentation link.

The issue you're experiencing where no block themes are displayed when clicking the "Block Themes" button could be due to one of the following reasons:

No Block Themes Available in the Directory: It's possible that there are no block themes available in the WordPress theme directory that match your search criteria or filters.

Current Theme Compatibility: If you're using a classic theme (like "Go"), it might not be directly related to the absence of block themes. However, WordPress should still display available block themes regardless of the current theme in use.

Filter or Search Issue: Ensure that no filters or search terms are applied that might be hiding the block themes. Sometimes, unintended filters can result in no themes being displayed.

WordPress Version: Ensure that your WordPress installation is up to date. Block themes are a relatively new feature, and older versions of WordPress might not support them properly.

Plugin or Configuration Conflict: A plugin or custom configuration on your site might be interfering with the theme installation process.

Suggested Solution:

Check for Filters: Clear any filters or search terms on the "Add Themes" screen to ensure you're seeing all available themes.

Update WordPress: Make sure your WordPress installation is updated to the latest version.

Test with a Default Theme: Temporarily switch to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty-Three) and check if block themes appear.

Check for Errors: Look for any errors in your browser console or WordPress debug log that might provide more insight.
