  1. Start with an event or event series e.g. ICEIS 2015 / ICEIS
  2. Find out the frequency (annual, biannual, etc.)
    1. Check title for hint in form of annual, biannual ❌
    2. Check inception date for first event and ordinal of any other event (1999 = 1 and 2015 = 17) find formula
    3. Check all event year ordinal combinations until this year (optional: next year including CFPs and announcements) for the frequency and having the same frequency based on the frequency calculated of the first pair (revers formula)
  3. Create "ghost" events
  4. Match existing events against "ghost" events
