Hi folks just switching from SpeedFan to Fan Control here.
Last night Fan Control was showing the drive SMART temps like SpeedFan does:

But this morning after updating to V214 it's not showing them anymore:

I still have "Storage" selected under sensors:

I've tried turning it off and turning it back on again.

This might be related: the sensor nicknames dropdown is now blank:

(although the sensor selector dropdown on a curve still works.

When I restarted Fan Control after the update it did complain about sensors going missing but it didn't say which ones. I'm assuming it was referring to the SMART sensors.

The log doesn't provide much info tho:

2/7/2025 8:58:09 AM: Try refresh failed. Retry count (6) exceeded.
Sensor validation failed.

I did this:

Et voila:

I wonder if there's some way to indicate to windows that FanSpeed is not nefarious and should be allowed Controlled Folder Access? What does it base that determination on?

You tell me. AV have a mind of their own.
