I think it is a bit confusing that there is not way to modify the tax setting for an individual item without going to the options page and creating the item there.

Shouldn't all options for modifying a Rechnungsposition also be available on the main page:

@coezbek Thanks for your feedback.

This is a valid point. But adding additional fields to the main view regarding the tax, would make the form a bit bloated. I'm trying to keep the main form for creating e-invoices as small as possible.

Especially if you set the tax percentage to 0%, we would also have to add two more fields.

From a usability perspective, I prefer the current approach. But feel free to let me know about your use case and why you think, this would make sense for the end user.

Best Regards!

@pinhead84 Thanks for the clarification!

I think I was just a bit puzzled how it was supposed to work when I first started the application. On the main page for creating invoices there isn't a hint how to set the tax and the options page talks about creating Rechnungsposten for later re-use, which I also didn't want to do.

I now think I understand that the user actually has to create one generic Rechnungsposten template on the options page and then use this as a basis for generic items, right?

Yes, that's at least what was intended. ;) - Create one ore more of these "Rechnungsposten" and reuse them for future invoices.

But of course, that is not very obious. Sooner or later we might need a better documentation.
