Added link to diagnostics. The ocean / sea-ice/ clm diagnostics are for years 1-35. Atmosphere Year 1-25. The simulation will be run for another 30 years.
Despite the overall colder temperature compared to n1850.ne30_tn14.hybrid_fatessp.20241219, this simulation switches to a SH ice minimum stage earlier in simulation starting around year 25-30 compared to around year 40-45 in the original The overall values for this minimum state looks comparable to each other. Since it looks like the SH ice may have two states also in this simulation a hypothesized link between lower short term variability in long wave radiation seems less likely.
The lower variability is reflected however in a reduced ENSO variability. In particular given the low ENSO variability and dry Amazon this tuning is likely not a good solution at the present stage but is continued to see if the long term sea-ice variability is a robust feature.
