On my Asus UX463F (i7 Comet Lake) some things are not working, beside what is already mentioned:

  • Trackpad after sleep (needs reboot to work again)
  • Trackpad right click and double click
  • Bluetooth not shown as available hardware (anything special to do after OC install?)
  • Keyboard backlight (I found a ACPI patch which made it working)
  • external HDMI,
  • I also have a Touchpad screen (Screenpad) which seems also not supported

Are these know issues? Or just specific for my install?
I am using a MacBookPro 16,1 SMBBIOS could that create any of these issues?

Hi piposa,

i tried to reproduce most of your issues and i was not able to:

  • Trackpad (Screenpad) is working after sleep. An issue that occured on my system was that the Touchscreen ( of the big display ) stopped working 2/10 times after sleep.
  • Trackpad right click is not working because it's an gesture which ins not supported for gdx1515 in voodooi2c right now. As workaround i would suggest to bind right click on the bottom right side of trackpad.
  • Bluetooth is working with the right USBMap.kext it might be that your hardware is not compatible to the map i provided. Please use USBMapAll or create a specific map for your device.
  • Feel free to provide me an PR for the keyboard backlight ACPI Patch
  • Im not sure what is external HDMI. The normal HDMI Port is working with 15.2 SMBIOS and the provided config. I was not able to get it running with 16.1.
  • The touchscreen is disable by HDMI Mapping, it's working but since there is no software that is able to switch between mouse mode and touch mode ive disabled it.

Hi,
thanks for the fast reply.

  • I switched to SMBIOS 15,2 and HDMI Port is working. Tried around, also 16,2 is working, 16,4 not. I stayed with 16,2 for now as this seems to best match my CPU (i7-10510U). So all test are done with that for now. I also updated OpenCore to latest devel build, just FYI. I didn't see any difference so far to your build.
  • Do you have a Screenpad (a monitor build into the touchpad) and got it working as well? Mine is not working so far.
  • My touchpad is never working after sleep, whereas my touchscreen is always working, strange.
  • Could you explain how to bind right click to bottom right side of touchpad? I don't know how that works.
  • For bluetooth I tried USBInjectAll.kext, no change. I did not find USBMapAll. Do I need to create it myself?
  • What do you mean by touchscreen disabled? I can at least move the pointer and touch (left) click and do 2 finger vertical scrolling.
  • I am not very used to github, so PR will take some time. If you are interested, I downloaded SSDT-AsusSMC.aml from the last EFI.zip from here
    https://www.hackintosh-forum.de/forum/thread/46953-asus-zenbook-ux433fa-catalina-diverse-probleme/?pageNo=4
and replaced your SSDT-FNKEY.aml with it. Keyboard backlight is now working and you can change it with F6 and F7. Fn-F6 disables/enables Touchpad. (I am using karabiner -elements for the mapping)

Hi,

yes i have a Screenpad (it was working, but i've disabled it in the current configuration).

You can configure right click in System Settings -> Trackpad -> Cursor -> Secondary Click

Bluetooth was very tricky on this Laptop. I would suggest that you use Hackintool to Map all USB ports with an USB 2.0 / USB 3.0 / USB 3.1 and USB Type - C Usb Stick each.

Sorry for the confusion, i mean Screenpad, not Touchscreen.

Could you please tell me how to enable the Screenpad again? I didn't find where you disabled it.

I already tried with Hackintool to map all ports. No change, will keep trying.
In this context: Airportitlwm.kext is very unstable for me, keeps loosing Wifi connection quite often. Do you have the same issue?
I did switch to itlwm.kext and Heliport. Much more stable. But bluetooth is not working in both configurations.

Have a look at the HDMI Connector Settings inside Hackintool:

I cant remember the Settings i've used to activate the Screenpad but i would guess it was Index 1 Connector Type 0x02 Pipe 9 and Type HDMI. (Im not sure which flags i've used)

Airportitlwm is unstable true. For me it's no Problem since i use only one wlan. I my experiance it gets unstable changing wlans

I already did look into Hackintool and was playing around a lot with the values. I once had Screenpad on, but display nok. I tried your suggestion also with other busID etc. One observation: With your config.plist I am getting different flags and Type for index 0 and 2 already, not sure why:

Would be really great if you could dig up an old config.plist which was working on your side. Looks like connector patching is beyond my skills :-(

For Bluetooth still no success also.

Similar with your config and my own created USBMap.kext.
How does it look on your hackingtool? Maybe comparing with your view gives me a hint....
Thanks a lot!

Thanks, that helped me to get Bluetooth finally working!
Any chance you still have a config.plist which includes a working Screenpad monitor? So far my tries are not successful.
I hope I could use it similar to linux: 2nd monitor and still as trackpad (not touchscreen).
