I get Error When Loading Mod Files. Number 1392. Doesn't resolve itself when I set the directory again. The game and mod man are both on the same external drive. Sometimes plugging the drive back in works but not always.

It's a problem with external drives, it work if the drive has the same drive letter as the last time, otherwise you will have to reselect. In your case, it said the folder is unreadable, could be there are corrupted files, something blocking it, or loose/slow usb connection to your drive.

Seems like it could be a combination of the first and the last but I am leaning towards the first. I did not experience issues until I tried swapping over a mod onto something else. Though it was a hair mod it was listed under other. In any case the target hair(Corsero one of the defaults in this case) would show up as missing but in game the previous mod I had still appeared. Figured I'd add for some context. I sometimes also get this error, but afterwards I got the initial error.

Yeah, running off an external drive is unstable since everything requires a fixed path
