libmicrohttpd seems to be working and a good option.
Other solutions (not tested):

tntnet: http://www.tntnet.org/
boost asio: http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_39_0/doc/html/boost_asio/examples.htm
micro_httpd: http://www.acme.com/software/micro_httpd/ does not seem very good as it rely on OS CLI tools
