GitHub file size limits is 50 MB (you get a warning but it still works), and block files above 100 MB.
Git LFS can be used to add files up to 2 GB. https://docs.github.com/en/repositories/working-with-files/managing-large-files/about-git-large-file-storage
cupoftea may need to use this for large interactive figures
